Towards a Better Future
A better future is possible and the key lies in personal and social transformation
In the same way that you have within you, kind reader, a capacity to become something else physically and improve your life — by exercising, eating better, sleeping better, etc. — I am telling you that you have within you a capacity to become something else mentally, emotionally, behaviourally that would also improve your life — by changing the way you think, the way you behave, the way you talk, the way you make love, the way you perceive things, the values that you have, your character and priorities, etc. The capacity exists. I guarantee that. What you have to do is to explore and pursue the beautiful development of it.

As a philosopher and social scientist, I can tell you that the root of your suffering and dissatisfaction lies on who you are as a person; it lies on the structure of the society that you live in, which affects both who you are and the way you live; it lies on your physical health.
Try to transform those things, stick to that transformation, and your life will change drastically.

Do not be afraid of change.
You have within you a strength that is incredible. And the things that you can achieve with that strength are even more incredible. I guarantee that, too.
Of course, change takes time. It takes time, effort, patience, and devotion. It also takes a lot of courage. Achieving actual change, whether personal or societal, is not easy. But it is worth it. It is worth it because the fruits of that process — and even the process of change itself — are extremely tasty! . . .

A better future is possible. A really beautiful future. A future full of love, joy, creativity, knowledge, good health, music, peace, vitality, free time, authentic relationships, and rich life adventures.
Good-quality philosophy, sociology, medicine — and, I must say, my own work — can help with making such a future real.
Life is short, as I like to say. It would be unfortunate to let it go to waste.
