Love for Life
Perhaps the only thing that could possibly save us from the ominous future that lies ahead
In my piece Climate Change: A Dystopian Future (2021), I write at the end of the piece that “real change will come only when people truly love life. Because only then they may start caring about protecting it…”
Indeed, that is the main ingredient: love for life. Unless we manage to inspire people to fall in love with life and truly enjoy living, no significant change will ever occur — we will simply continue on our current trajectory.

How could we inspire that necessary love, though? This may be one of the hardest tasks — if possible at all — especially through writing and other remote means.1 Nevertheless, for what it may be worth, here is my recipe, plain and simple:
dance, fall in love and have hot, intimate, passionate sex, go for a walk, watch the beautiful sky and the trees around you, feel the breeze on your skin, let yourself to rest, contemplate the universe, smile, be in tune with yourself, and be immersed in life…
My analysis, unfortunately, predicts a very ominous, and nearly certain, future. It also reveals to me that love for life may be our last chance.
Despite being a writer, I have long been sceptical about the effectiveness of writing. I write more about that ineffectiveness in my next piece — probably the last one for this season.
